About AgriSolar
Leading the future of sustainable agricultural energy solutions
Our Story & Mission

Our Mission
AgriSolar empowers smallholder farmers in Nigeria to grow food year-round and escape climate-driven poverty. Only 10% of farmland in Nigeria is irrigated, and most farmers rely on expensive diesel pumps—if they can afford irrigation at all. Through our innovative, revenue-sharing model, AgriSolar provides solar-powered irrigation systems with no upfront cost, making sustainable farming truly accessible.
Our systems are portable, shareable, and designed for community use, lowering financial barriers and improving security. We believe that every farmer deserves access to reliable irrigation, regardless of their financial situation. By removing the upfront cost barrier, we're enabling thousands of farmers to increase their yields, grow throughout the year, and build more resilient livelihoods.
Our Approach
Traditional irrigation solutions require significant upfront investment that most smallholder farmers cannot afford. Our revolutionary revenue-sharing model changes this completely. Farmers pay nothing upfront and only share revenue from their increased yields, making solar irrigation accessible to everyone.
Our portable systems can be shared among multiple farmers in a community, reducing individual costs while improving security and maximizing utilization. This community-based approach not only makes economic sense but also builds stronger farming communities that support each other's success.
Impact in Nigeria
Nigeria faces significant agricultural challenges, with climate change making traditional rain-fed farming increasingly unreliable. Our solar-powered irrigation systems enable farmers to adapt to these challenges while building more profitable and sustainable farming operations. By focusing on smallholder farmers, we're addressing food security at the grassroots level where it matters most.
